This tip requires a bit of advanced knowledge of PHP, but if you’re a web designer or developer it could be really handy.
The DropboxUploader PHP class allows you to create a form on your website through which people can upload files directly to your Dropbox. This could be useful if, for example, you want your clients to be able to send you large files, such as videos, which are too big to be sent over email.
The instructions on the project’s Github page are pretty foolproof, and will work on any web server. All you need to do is upload the files to your server, and edit the lines in example.php to customize it to your Dropbox account, and the filename you want. If you like, you could customize the script further to create the filename dynamically. Post in the comments if you’d like an explanation of how to do this.
$uploader = new DropboxUploader(’email@example.com’, ‘password’);
